Hey Rachel,

We don't have electronic images of the entire 2006-2007 FAFSA on the Web site. However, we do have screen shots of the changes that were made to the web site for 2006-2007. In the past, we've provided OMB with a hyperlink to the FAFSA on the Web demonstration web site. There, users can view the application and all of its functions. See the last slide of the attached PowerPoint presentation on how to access the demo site.

If you need a more comprehensive set of screen shots, we will have to draft and issue a task order with our contractor to have the work done. Considering the tight constraints we're under to get this amended package approved, and the 2007-2008 package posted, we anticipate the cost would be considerable.

I hope that the attached set of screen shots will suffice! Please let me know if you need additional information or have any questions.

Please send copies of the screenshots of the electronic FAFSA. OMB needs copies of all versions of a data collection, so even if the paper and electronic version collect identical information, we still need copies of the screen shots

Thanks for your email. I am attaching a PDF of the 2006-2007 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) paper form and the screen shots of the 2006-2007 FAFSA ACG web process, per your request.

The burden hour for 2006-2007 FAFSA applicants is increasing due to the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) information letter that we sent to potential ACG-eligible applicants. The total burden is therefore increasing by 216,000 hours from the burden hour estimate we made last year (i.e. prior to the enactment of the ACG). The total number of respondents is staying the same, but the number of responses is increasing.

Attached is an updated OMB-83-I and Supporting Statement for your review. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.

Please see below for OMB's comments on the FAFSA currently under review (changes relate to ACG/ SMART changes). Let me know if you have any questions.

The burden calculation for this collection is confusing. Why is ED requesting 300,000 fewer annual responses? Is that incorrect? Shouldn't annual responses increase since some applicants had to go on the web to provide additional information?
Please provide OMB with a copy of the paper FAFSA for 2006-2007, as well as screen shots for the electronic application. This information is necessary for our docket files.
