Notice of Proposed Information Collection: Comment Request:=20
Insurance Termination Request for Multifamily Mortgage

AGENCY: Office of the Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing=20

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: The proposed information collection requirement described=20
below will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)=20
for review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The Department=20
is soliciting public comments on the subject proposal.

DATES: Comments Due Date: May 29, 2012.

ADDRESSES: Interested persons are invited to submit comments regarding=20
this proposal. Comments should refer to the proposal by name and/or OMB=20

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Department is submitting the proposed=20
information collection to OMB for review, as required by the Paperwork=20
Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35, as amended).
    This Notice is soliciting comments from members of the public and=20
affected agencies concerning the proposed collection of information to:=20
(1) Evaluate whether the proposed collection is necessary for the=20
proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether=20
the information will have practical utility; (2) Evaluate the accuracy=20
of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of=20
information; (3) Enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the=20
information to be collected; and (4) Minimize the burden of the=20
collection of information on those who are to respond; including the=20
use of appropriate automated collection techniques or other forms of=20
information technology, e.g., permitting electronic submission of=20
responses.
    This Notice also lists the following information:
    Title of Proposal: Insurance Termination Request for Multifamily=20
Mortgage.

    OMB Control Number, if applicable: 2502-0416.
    Description of the need for the information and proposed use: The=20
information collection is used to notify HUD that the mortgagor and=20
mortgagee mutually agree to terminate the HUD multifamily mortgage=20
insurance.
    Agency form numbers, if applicable: HUD-9807.
    Estimation of the total numbers of hours needed to prepare the=20
information collection including number of respondents, frequency of=20
response, and hours of response: The number of burden hours is 368. The=20
number of respondents is 400, the number of responses is 2086, the=20
frequency of response is on occasion, and the burden hour per response=20
is 1.0.
    Status of the proposed information collection: This is an extension=20
of a currently approved collection.

    Authority:  The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, 44 U.S.C.,=20
Chapter 35, as amended.
