Explanation of difference		The 2009 annual burden is estimated to be 4013 hours, which is based on the actual number of forms processed from January – December 2008. The current OMB inventory of 5,983 hours was based on 95% of the respondents in 2007 using the web-based enrollment form. In 2008 96.7% of respondents used the online form. This results in a decrease of 1,970 hours to the OMB inventory. We expect future enrollment volumes to be slightly higher.

Other change** The purpose of this change sheet is to request minor and technical changes to the currently approved information collection, Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Enrollment Form, 1845-0002. These changes are explained in the attached memo. See attached “1011 Enrollment Form Changes”. The burden reduction noted above does not result from these minor technical changes to the forms. Rather, as explained above, the burden reduction of 1970 hours results from fewer applicants. Please Note: Testing of the PM system, for which this form serves, is scheduled for November 16-20, 2009, with system rollover scheduled for December 13, 2009. Consequently, we need to obtain approval for 83C request at your earliest convenience.
