Aliens granted conditional residence
through marriage to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident use this
form to petition for removal of those conditions. The information
collected on the form is used to verify the petitioner's status and
to determine whether the conditional resident is eligible to have
the condiitons of his or her status removed.

The Form I-751 is being revised
to request information needed during the intake and adjudication
processes. USCIS is also adding fields to the Form I-751 that will
facilitate the production of a Permanent Resident Card, USCIS Form
I-551, for approved petitions. Fields were added for safe address
handling, marital history, employment history, and additional
information about children applying on the same form. Instructions
were added for the new fields and to provide clarity for applicants
in a forced marriage, battered or subjected to extreme cruelty and
on providing evidence demonstrating the relationship of the
applicant for which they gained conditional permanent
residence.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
