OMB 0910-0855

This Information collection request supports the deployment of the first "National Agriculture and Food Defense Strategy (NAFDS) Survey.” This voluntary survey corresponds to efforts by the (U.S.) Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Agriculture, in coordination with the Department of Homeland Security, to monitor progress as requested in the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), National Agriculture and Food Defense Strategy report to Congress published in April 2015 [Section 108 – Public Law 111.353]. The goal of the survey is to monitor and measure Federal and state partners’ progress in specific food and agriculture defense goals, objectives, and key initiatives as listed in the NAFDS from 2015 to Present. Survey respondents will be selected from Federal and state food defense leaders participating in USDA and FDA food defense related cooperative agreements. Survey results will be included in a follow-up NAFDS report to Congress in early 2019.
