THE INFORMATION COLLECTION PROVIDES THE PUBLIC, COMMERCIAL COMPANIES, STATES, ETC., WITH THE NUMBER OF VESSELS REGISTERED, THEIR LENGTHS, TYPES, AND USAGE. (46 U.S.C. 1467, FEDERAL BOATING SAFETY ACT OF 1971).
