EFFECTIVELY ITS REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE FEDERAL
RAILROAD SAFETY ACT OF 1970 AND ACCIDENT REPORTS ACT, AS AMENDED.
INFORMATION RECEIVED IS USED TO PROVIDE A BASIS FOR (1) CONDUCTING
RESEARCH, (2) ESTABLISHING SAFETY STANDARDS AND RULES, AND (3)
DEVELOPING FRA COMPLIANCE INSPECTION PROCEDURES.
