Abstract: THIS REGULATION PROVIDES PROCEDURES FOR THE TERMINATION OF SUFFICIENT PENSION PLANS, AND ENSURES THAT A PARTICIPANT OR BENEFICIARY WITH A BENEFIT PAYABLE AS AN ANNUITY UNDER A TERMINATING PLAN WILL RECEIVE HIS BENEFIT IN THE ANNUITY FORM SPECIFIED IN THE PLAN THROUGH A FUNDIN MEDIUM THAT WILL ASSURE TIMELY AND UNINTERRUPTED PAYMENT.
