Abstract: SECTION 8 OF THE RAILROAD UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ACT REQUIRES RAILROAD EMPLOYERS TO PAY A CONTRIBUTION EQUAL TO A PERCENTAGE OF THE CREDITABLE COMPENSATION PAID TO EACH EMPLOYEE. THE EMPLOYER'S QUARTERLY OR ANNUAL REPORT, PRESCRIBED IN 20 CFR 345.5 WILL BE USED RECONCILING UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS WITH THE REPORTS OF COMPENSATION SUBMITTED FOR THE EMPLOYEES.
