Abstract: THE RULEMAKING PROVIDES THE GUIDANCE FOR THE FILING, PROCESSING AND COMPLETION OF AN EXCHANGE. THE INFORMATION REQUIRED OF AN APPLICANT IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE IF THE PROPOSED EXCHANGE MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FEDERAL LAND POLICY AND MANAGEMENT ACT, IF THE LAND BEING CONVEYED TO THE UNITED STATES IS ACCEPTABLE, AND THE TITLE OF THE PROPONENT IS ADEQUATE.
