Abstract: THE INVENTORY PROVIDES AN UPDATED UNIVERSE OF PSYCHIATRIC ORGANIZATION TO SERVE AS A SAMPLING FRAME FOR SAMPLE SURVEYS. IT ALSO PROVIDES DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION REGARDING FACILITIES WHICH IS CRUCIAL TO MONITORING DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SPECIALTY MENTAL HEALTH SECTOR AND TO MONITORING PROGRESS TOWARD NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH GOALS.
