Abstract: EPA PUBLISHED REGULATIONS ON MAY 19. 1980 STARTING THAT CERTAIN TYPES OF CHANGES MADE TO HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITIES DURING "INTERIM STATUS" (AS DEFINED UNDER SEC. 3005(E) OF RCRA) MUST BE MADE WITH THE KNOWLEDGE, AND IN SOME CASES, THE CONSENT, OF EPA. THE REGULATIONS REQUIRE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE FACILITY OWNER OR OPERATOR WHEN SUCH CHANGES ARE PLANNED.
