EPA has not
persuaded OMB that there is a real need to keep this application
data for three years. A proposal to shorten or eliminate this
recordkeeping requirement is expected as part of the streamlining
of NPDES permitting requirements. This is needed before OMB will
extend the expiration date of this clearance.

FALSE INFORMATION ON THE PERMIT APPLICATIN, FOR WHICH THERE ARE
SEVERE PENALTIES. EPA MUST HAVE CORRECT INFORMATION ON THE
APPLICATION IN ORDER TO WRITE AND ENFORCE THE APPROPRIATE PERMIT
CONDITIONS.
