USED BY TAXPAYERS TO DEPOSIT THE REQUIRED TAXES AT AUTHORIZED
FINANCIAL INSTITUIONS OR FEDERAL RESERVE BANKS OR BRANCHES. THE
DEPOSITARY SENDS THE CARD TO THE IRS CENTER WHERE THE DEPOSITED
AMOUNT IS CREDITED TO THE DEPOSITOR'S TAX ACCOUNT. THE DATA IS USED
BY IRS TO MAKE THE CREDIT AND TO VERIFY THE TAX DEPOSIT CLAIMED ON
A RETURN. BGFO REQUIRES DATA TO INSURE TIMELY CREDIT BY DEPOSITARY
TO TREASURY'S ACCOUNTS.
