Abstract: THE DOCUMENT IS USED BY IMPORTERS TO FURNISH COST INFORMATION TO CUSTOMRS USED IN THE VALUATION OF IMPORTER MERCHANDISE. IT IS A GUIDE FOR THE IMPORTER TO FOLLOW IN COMPILING COST ELEMENTS SUPPORTING ENTERED VALUES REPORTED TO CUSTOMS. THIS INFORMATION, COLLECTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS REPORT, IS A RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENT PURSUANT TO 19 CFR 162.1C WITH A RETENTION PERIOD OF 5 YEARS AFTER DATE OF ENTRY OF MERCHANDISE.
