DOT's
procurement activities are approved under the Paperwork Reductio
Act through March 31, 1984. These information collections must be
resubmitted for OMB review by February 1, 1984, together with
purchase orders, which were not addressed in the current
submission. At least two separate packages must be prepared. One
should cover all solicitation and contract unique collections which
are not quoted directly from the Federal Acquisition Regulation
(FAR) or DOT's FAR supplement. This submission must provide a
detailed description of DOT's process for reviewing and approving
information collections in procurement solicitations and contracts
including written procedures, criteria for review, delegations and
lines of authority. The second package should address all
information collection requirements in DOT' FAR supplement which
differ--whether in language or content--from the text of the FAR
itself. This FAR supplement package must describe all such
requirements and identify associated budens by category or subjec
matter. For each paragraph, subpart, part, or subject in DOT's FAR
supplement that consists of more than a simple citation to the FAR,
the justification statement must explain the need for additional or
separate language or requirements beyond that contained in the FAR
itself.
