Abstract: REPORT COLLECTS BALANCE SHEET INFORMATION FROM SELECTED LARGE BRANCHES OF U.S. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OF EDGE CORPORATIONS AND OF U.S. NONMEMBER BANKING INSTITUTIONS MAJORITY-OWNED BY FOREIGN BANKS. THESE DATA ARE ESSETIAL FOR MONITORING DEVELOPMENTS IN THE EURODOLLAR MARKET AND OTHER FOREIGN FINANCIAL MARKETS. IN ADDITION, THESE DATA PROVIDE BACKGROUND FOR, AND ARE USED IN THE ANALYSIS OF, CERTAIN ISSUES RELATED TO MONETARY POLICY AND BANKING
