FIELD TRIALS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN 10
NATIONAL HEALTH INTERVIEW SURVEY (NHIS) PRIMARY SAMPLING UNITS
(PSU'S) TO TEST METHODS FOR INTEGRATING THE SAMPLE DESIGNS OF THE
NHIS AND THE OTHER NCHS POPULATION-BASED SURVEYS. NHIS HOUSEHOLDS
IN THOSE PSU'S WILL SERVE AS THE SAMPLING FRAME FOR A SURVEY ON
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH. RESPONSE RATES, COSTS, TIMELINESS, AND
OPERATIONAL PRACTICALITY WILL BE EVALUATED.
