This request to
collect data on trucking companies with common carrier authority is
approved through 9/30/85 only. If the Commission wishes to continue
requiring these reports beyond then, it must revise its request for
authority to collect this information. Any such request must be
submitted to OMB by 6/30/85 and explain (1) why the Commission
cannot meet its statutory responsibilities with drastically reduced
da requirements, and (2) why extensive cost-based trucking reports
are needed at all, when prices are set competitively independent of
costs.
