SECTION 610.2 PROVIDES FDA WITH THE AUTHORITY TO REQUEST THE SUBMISSIO OF PRODUCT LOT SAMPLES AND RELEASE PROTOCOLS SHOWING THE IDENTITY OF THE LOT AND TEST RESULTS OF ALL APPLICABLE TESTS FOR EACH LOT OF LICENSED BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS PRIOR TO THE DISTRIBUTION AND USE HUMANS. FDA REVIEWS THE PROTOCOLS AND PERFORMS ITS OWN TESTING ON THE SAMPLES TO ASSURE THAT A PARTICULAR LOT IS SAFE, PURE, POTENT, AND EFFECTIVE.
