THIS RULE IS MANDATED BY ERISA SECTION
4245 (29 USC 1426(E)). THE RULE PROVIDES PROCEDURES FOR NOTIFYING
PBGC AND INTERESTED PARTIES OF POSSIBLE OR ACTUAL PENSION PLAN
INSOLVENCY AND OF ANY CONSEQUENT REDUTION IN BENEFITS. THE
RESPONDENTS ARE THOSE MULTIEMPLOYER PENSION PLANS THAT ARE OR MAY
BECOME INSOLVENT.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
