Abstract: THE OWNER OR OPERATOR OF A NEW INTERIM STATUS SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT OR LANDFILL UNIT, REPLACEMENT UNIT, OR LATERAL EXPANSION OF A UNIT, MUST WITH RESPECT TO WASTE RECEIVED BEGINNING SIX MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF ENACTMENT, NOTIFY EPA AT LEAST 60 DAYS PRIOR TO RECEIVING WASTE. EPA USES THE INFORMATION TO MAINTAIN AN INVENTORY OF ALL HAZARDOUS WASTE ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE NATION.
