THIS SURVEY WILL COLLECT DATA FROM
STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS NEEDED TO COMPLY WITH GRANT ALLOCATION
PROCEDURES MANDATED BY CONGRESS UNDER THE JUSTICE ASISTANCE
IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1984. THESE DATA WILL BE USE TO ADMINISTER THE
NEW GRANT PROGRAM AND PROVIDE DESCRIPTIVE DATA FOR POLICYMAKERS,
PLANNERS, AND PRACTITIONERS.
