OCCUPATIONAL TAX BEFORE CONDUCTING A BUSINESS IN CERTAIN ALCOHOL OR
FIREARMS CATEGORIES. THESE ARE ATF CATEGORIES BUT IRS PROCESSES THE
TAX FOR ATF. FORM 11 IS USED BOTH TO COMPUTE AND REPORT THE TAX AND
AS AN APPLICATION FOR REGISTRY AS REQUIRED BY LAW. UPON RECEIPT OF
THE TAX A SPECIAL TAX STAMP IS ISSUED. THE DATA IS USED TO VERIFY
THE TAX REPORTED.
