In accordance
with the overall 5% reduction in burden hours mandated by Congress,
PTO will examine the patent application process to determine
appropriate areas in which a reduction of burden could be
implemented. PTO should consolidate forms within groups such as
Petition to Revive Abandoned Applications and Reissue of of
Applications, so that one general form can be used in all
situations. All forms must bear the OMB approval number and date of
expiration.
