Abstract: TO ENSURE OPEN COMPETITION WHEN IT BUYS EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES FOR GOVERNMENT USE, GSA OPERATES A BIDDERS' MAILING LIST SYSTEM. POTENTIAL BIDDERS FILL OUT A FORM SO THEY CAN BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE AGENCY WANTS TO BUY CERTAIN TYPES OF ITEMS. GSA THEN NOTIFIES THE INTERESTED BIDDERS AND SELECTS THE ONE WHO CAN BEST FILL ITS NEEDS UNDER THE CONTRACT.
