In accordance
with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) and 5 CFR 1320, this
collection of information is approved through July 31, 1991. The
Department of State's resubmission for OMB review should address
the following issues, stemming from the question "LIST ADDITIONAL
HOME ADDRESSES AND EMPLOYERS FOR PAST TEN YEARS BELOW:" (1) the
unusually low burden hour estimate of 5 minutes, (2) the certain
duplication of collection for those people who already have a
security clearance from some other agency, and (3) the practical
utility of such detailed information. Before resubmission, the
Department should consult with applicants concerning the burden of
these forms and should investigate using the results of other or
previous security clearance investigations.
