Terms of Clearance: The SF-269 and the BSG Supplemental form together constitute agency form ADD-01. The addition of a supplement to the SF-269 represents a modification of the SF-269 and therefore the agency form number should be applied to the entire package (SF-269 and supplement). Based upon this situation, no part of this information collection should be referred to as the SF-269. The agency should submit an inventory correction worksheet to reflect the adjustment in burden generated by this change.

Abstract: BASIC STATE GRANT (GSG) FUNDS ARE AWARDED TO STATE AGENCIES CONTINGENT ON FISCAL RQUIREMENTS IN THE DD ACT. THE FINANCIAL STATUS REPORT (SF-269), MANDATED IN THE REVISED OMB CIRCULAR A-102, PROVIDES NO ACCOUNTING BREAKOUTS NECESSARY FOR PROPER STEWARDSHIP, AS WAS PREVIOUSLY PROVIDED. THE PROPOSED SUPPLEMENT WILL ALLOW COMPLIANCE MONITORING AND PROACTIVE COMPLIANCE MAINTENANCE.
