Terms of Clearance: Approved through 3/91 under the condition that in the coming year, the Department develops additional projects that evaluate the effectiveness of alternative approaches to technology assessment such as small working panels, the Delphi format, and the technology assessment "forum". The objective of these comprehensive evaluations would be the identification of the most effective means of obtaining medical expert input for the formulation of physician practice guidelines.
