In accordance
with 5 CFR 1320 and the Paperwork Reduction Act, we are approving
the information collection requirements associated with the
Prepackaged Drugs Compliance Program through 12/30/90. At this
time, we are unable to approve any other information collection
request for CPSC's Compliance Programs for FY 1990 because the
appropriate survey instruments have not been developed. Without the
specific compliance program survey instruments, we have no basis on
which to evaluate according to the principles of the Paperwork
Reduction Act. In the future, we would be willing to evaluate on an
annual basis the information collection requests associated with
that year's compliance programs as long as survey instruments have
been designed.
