OMB approves
this information collection until December 31, 1991. FDA has told
OMB that it plans to repropose the regulations on labeling for
sulfites published on December 19, 1988 as one component of a soon
to be (schedule for 1991) proposed ingredient labeling regulation.
As a result, FDA will have to submit for OMB approval all of the
information collection requirements contained in such regulation of
which labeling of sulfites will be one part. Because of these
plans, 0910-0250 should be combined into any new information
collection package on ingredient labeling which will be submitted
for OMB approval on or before the time of publication of the
ingredient labeling proposed rule. The separate OMB no. 0910-0250
for labeling of sulfites will no longer be needed once this
occurs.
