FNS shall add questions to the SFA questionnair to determine level
of oversight on the FSMC's, as lack of supervision may be a
variable contributing to widespread FSMC failure to meet Fed.
procurement standards. Modify question 8a in the Survey of State
Directors in States with FMC Districts to include all the options
in 9a. Make corresponding changes in other sections. Remove
questions on student attitudes from the PTA President case study,
thes questions will be answered by the students themselves in their
case study. FNS will note that findings from the case studies are
not statistically significant and may not be generalized to the
rest of the School Lunch Program.

ED INFORMATION IS NEEDED TO PROVIDE
THE AGENCY WITH A COMPREHENSIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE FOOD SERVICE
MANAGEMENT COMPANY INVOLVEMENT IN SCHO BASED FEEDING PROGRAMS.
RESULTS WILL BE USED TO DEVELOP POLICY AND GUIDELINES AFFECTING
STATE AND LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT USE OF FSMCS IN THE
FUTURE.
