October 1993 with the understanding that the changes the Privacy
Act Statement agreed to in Shelby Haverson's memorandum of April
21, 1992 will be made at the earliest possible time. We also
recommend that any authorizations based on the version of the form
to distributed on April 24, 1992 at the conference with State
representatives, which does not reflect the approved Privacy Act
Statement, be 1) replaced by the new form, or 2) supplemented with
the approved Privacy Act statement. This determination shall be
made by t Department's Privacy Act official. Upon the next
submission for review, the Department should report on t evolution
of methods for filing and securing information, i.e., telephone, in
writing, or through electronic media; and which method i preferred
and why.
