Abstract: UNDER 29 U.S.C. 1388(E)(3) AND 29 CFR PARA. 2646.8, MULTIEMPLOYER PENSION PLAN SPONSORS REQUEST PBGC APPROVAL OF PLAN RULES FOR ABATING CONTRIBUTING EMPLOYERS' PARTIAL WITHDRAWAL LIABILITY. PBGC NEEDS THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE RULES HARM PARTICIPANTS OR INCREASE PBGC'S RISK OF LOSS AND THUS ARE INCONSISTENT WITH THE STATUTE.
