Section 2 of the Railroad Unemployment
Insurance Act (RUIA) provides unemployment and sickness benefits
for qualified railroad workers. When the RRB determines that an
overpayment of RUIA benefits has occurred, it initiates action to
notify the claimant and to recover the amount owed the RRB. The
collection obtains information needed by the RRB to allow for the
repayment of the amount owed by the claimant by credit card, in
addition to the customary form of payment by check or money
order.
