Terms of Clearance: This collection is approved on the following conditions: (1) ED agrees not to release the form to grantees until a final determination has been made with respect to whether or not the program will be rescinded and how much money will be made available to support existing projects; (2) ED discontinues use of continuation applications for this program in future years and will instead base approval solely on information provided in the grantee's performance reports; (3) ED will try to consolidate the assurances forms into one, simplified form for signature as has been done for a number of grant programs throughout the agency.
