collection (Request for a new OMB Control Number)
Extended through
December 1996 to provide approval of the 3rd party notification
requirements, e.g., 27 CFR 252.132, during the transitional first
year under PRA 1995. The Department should ensure that the
regulations clearly indicate the length of time records are to be
retained, e.g., 27 CFR 252.220a, explain the retention requirements
in the narrative statement, draw attention in the Federal Register
notice to the retention and third part notification requirements,
when requesting extension of this approval.

Beverage alcohol, industrial alcohol,
beer, and wine are taxed when imported. The taxes on these
commodities coming from the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico largely
returned to these insular possessions. Exports are mainly tax free.
These sections ensure that proper taxes are collected and returned
according to law.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that

1320.8(b)(3).
