Section 1910.132 requires employers to perform a hazard assessment of the workplace to determine if personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary. Section 1910.132(f) requires employers to train employees in the use of PPE. Each affected employer will have to document that a hazard assessment and training was performed. The Agency estimates that it will take each employer 10 minutes to retrieve the appropriate documentation for examination by an OHSA compliance officer.
