Approved through
September 1997. A request for review of the information collections
contained in this regulation was received by OMB on June 14, 1994.
The request was withdrawn August 1, 1994 in resonse to a verbal OMB
request to IRS to withdraw the request so OMB could reenter it at
the timeof publication of the NPRM in the_Federal Register. Due to
an OMB error this was not done and inexplicably the date of OMB
withdrawal occurred on August 1, 1994, which followed publication
of the regulation on July 18, 1994. The OMB approval of the
information collections in this regulation will extend through
September 1997. This is the expiration date which OMB would have
assigned to the collections in the NPRM had they been approved 60
days after publication as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act
since the collections essentially remain unchanged from those
proposed in the NPRM.
