The intent of the Salmon Donation
Program (SDP) is to provide for the distrition of Pacific salmon
taken as bycatch in the groundfish trawl fisheries off Alaska to
economically disadvantaged individuals. Distribution would be
tax-exempt organizations through an NMFS-authorized distributor. A
collection of information is needed to select a distributor(s),
monitor compliance with quality-control standards, and to ensure
that the fish reach the intended target users.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
