Abstract: Changes to the Communications Act related to the privatization of ship inspections of large cargo and small passenger vessels that allows FCC licensed technicians to do these inspections. These changes would greatly reduce administrative burden on the public and the Commission without adversely affecting the safety of crews and passengers on certain United States vessels.
