The information
collection requirements contained in the proposed cash management
rule are not approved at this time. ED has received public comment
on this NPRM regarding the information medium in which schools must
participate in order to be deemed administratively capable, as well
as the information flow necessary to implement the just-in-time
payment method. In the preamble to the final rule, ED shall address
these concerns in a way that maximizes usefulness and minimizes
burden. ED will resubmit the final rule for PRA clearance. -- All
currently approved provisions of this regulation under OMB
#1840-0697 remain approved through November 1998; this action
concerns only the current NPRM.
