The Department of Labor requires
financial data for the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) and NAFTA
programs administered by States which are not available from the
Standard Form 269. The required data are necessary in order to meet
statutory requirements prescribed in P.L. 100-418, the Omnibus
Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988, and the North American Free
Trade Agreement Implementation Act (P.L. 103-182) in accordance
with section 250(a), subchapter D, chapter 2, title II of the Trade
Act of 1974.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
