We note that FTA
and Coast Guard are the only operating administrations within the
DOT that is collecting MIS data on an annual basis from a full
census of employers. We encourage FTA and the DOT to reevaluate
this requirement in light of a study by the DOT Drug Policy Office
(September, 1995) that indicated program needs in the various
administrations could be adequately served through a sampling
approach.
