The FCC shall
ensure that any rulemakings that result from the Petition for
Rulemaking filed by the Attorneys for Salem Communications
Corporation in the Matter of Amendment of Section 73.3526(a) Local
Public Inspection File that are applicable to Section 73.3527 are
incorporated in latter requirements. Additionally, the FCC should
review these requirements to determine whether the utility of their
continued use warrants the burden imposed on broadcasters -- or
whether alternative recordkeeping procedures can be developed.

Section 73.3527 requires each
noncommercial educational broadcast station licensee/permittee to
maintain a file for public inspection. The contents of the file
vary according to type of service and status. The data are used by
the public and FCC staff in field investigations to evaluate
information about the station's performance.
