The Department of Defense is required
to ensure that religious organizations seeking to endorse chaplains
are eligible and that applicants qualified for the military
chaplain services are endorsed by those religious organizations.
This information collection will provide basic information about
the religious organization seeking to supply chaplains and ensure
that those organizations are authorized by their membership to act
as the sole agency for the purpose of certifying and endorsing
clergy to serve as military chaplains. This collection will also
provide certification that a clergy person being endorsed
