The Appliance Labeling Rule (16 CFR 305) establishes testing and labeling requirements for manufacturers of certain appliances. The rule also requires manufacturers to submit relevant data regarding energy or water usage in connection with the products they manufacture. The rule also requires manufacturers to keep records of test data to derive labeling information. The submission includes only burden hours of companies under FTC jurisdiction.
