OMB recommends that NOAA review the data obtained through this Information Collection one year after it becomes effective, and confirm the burden estimates provided in the Information Collection Request. Abstract: Vessel owners would be required to directly report any harvest of Atlantic bluefin tuna which is not sold or otherwise reported through the commercial dealer reporting system. Each permit holder would report within 12 hours of landing by toll-free telephone call to an automated catch reporting system. An interactive voice response system would prompt the permit holder for size, class, and number of bluefin tuna harvested on the fishing trip. Since the necessary information on the permit holder has already been recorded via the automated permitting system, only the permit number is needed to activate the system.
