Use of the OMB
number 2070-0122 is conditiional upon the following: (a) any List 1
inert data call-in (DCI) with studies not included on the attached
lists ("List of Studies Which May be Required for Continued
Registration of Pesticides Containing List 1 or List 2 Inert
Ingredients of Certain Active Ingredients" and "List of Studies
Which May be Required for Continued Registrationof End Use
Products"; (b) any List 2 or inert DCI for studies other than the
"base set" of data requirements set out in the 1987 Inert
Ingredient Policy Statement except if the study is directly related
to the effects of concern for which the chemical was placed on List
2 and the study is included on either of the attached lists; or (c)
any DCI for active ingredients for studies not included on the
attached lists and any DCI on the attached lists with cumulative
testing costs of $1 million or more. The report will include
information about the active or inert ingredient, the studies to be
required, and a brief discussion of the information's practical
utility and burden (i.e., the need for the study and the cost). OMB
review of these submissions is expected to be prompt (no more than
10 working days); OMB review is expected to take less time when the
burden is small and practical utility clearly demonstrated. OMB may
request additional information to help in its determination. DCIs
for List 3 chemicals are not covered by this ICR. If at any time
EPA plans to issue List 3 DCIs, it must amend this ICR and submit
the ICR to OMB for approval. EPA shal submit to OMB a retrospective
annual report summarizing all DCIs for inert and active ingredients
in the past year. The annual reports will serve to establish which
DCIs are approved by this generic OMB number. OMB retains the
discretion to change the above conditions after consultation with
EPA.
