The reporting and recordkeeping
requirements described in this submission were established by the
Food and Drug Administration and the National Institute on Drug
Abuse to comply with the requirements of section 303(g) of the
Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 823(g)). The requirements are
designed to ensure that narcotic drugs used for the treatment of
drug addiction are used in a medically appropriate way to minimize
the potential for abuse and diversion.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
